Born in Peru, Alexandre grew up in Wasnington, D.C., brought up by a French mother and Iranian father.
Driven by a passion for fashion and music, he applied to ESMOD International in Paris when he was eighteen years old. There, he studied the Art de La Haute Couture for four years and was awarded a Master’s in Histoire de l’Art.
Before his studies were over, Alexandre was recruited by the designer Christophe Josse, joining his fashion house where he helped in the creation of all haute couture collections for five years. He was also entrusted with development of the ready-to-wear collections and the design of accessories.
Enriched by this experience and eager to develop his own vision, the designer today launches during Haute Couture week in Paris his first collection for fall/winter 2014-15.
Emerging from the eclectic past of its designer, the Alexandre Delima collections embody American excentricity and French refinement combined with exotic Latin American sensuality.
